Tourism opportunities during the Cansiglio Meeting
During the Cansiglio Orienteering Meeting, you can discover two tourism opportunities in Fregona: the Caglieron Caves and a guided tour with wine tasting dedicated to Torchiato di Fregona.
Tour of the Caglieron Caves
The Caglieron Caves are a striking blend of human craftsmanship and natural beauty, open to visitors year-round. The loop trail is about 1 km long and follows the Caglieron stream through waterfalls and caves, with stalactite formations, lush vegetation and a picturesque wooden walkway with several viewpoints.
At the end of the gorge, the Caglieron mill and the Stonemason’s Village offer a further step into local history.

Guided Tour and Wine Tasting at the Torchiato Winery
According to tradition, Torchiato di Fregona was born in the 1600s, when an early frost forced a winemaker to harvest grapes before they were fully ripe. After drying them on racks and pressing them several times, the must was left to rest in small barrels. A year later, the first tasting revealed an extraordinary wine.

Press Conference
On Saturday, June 6 at 10:00 AM, the press conference for the presentation of the event will be held at Hangar Cansiglio.
The structure is made available by Veneto Agricoltura.

Cansiglio merchandise: orders open until 25 May
Orders are open for the Cansiglio Orienteering Meeting 2026 merchandise.
Official clothing can be ordered online from the Sign Sport shop: order the clothing.
The puzzle with the Cansiglio map at 1:10,000 scale is also available: 64 x 48 cm, 1000 pieces, box 37 x 27 x 5.5 cm.

Updated schedule for the first two races
The Friday and Saturday races have been swapped:
- Friday 19 June 2026: Middle
- Saturday 20 June 2026: Long
The finish arena is the same for both races, near Malga Mezzomiglio.
On Sunday 21 June 2026, the Middle at the Archeton picnic area is confirmed and will also count as a World Ranking Event (WRE).
The embargoed area has been updated and the Valsalega map has been added as a reserve area.

A Great Organizing Club
Orienteering Tarzo is a club of enthusiasts who have been organizing events in Cansiglio for years. Before being organizers, we are athletes: we promote orienteering in schools and train at the highest levels. We know what orienteers expect from the organization and we do everything to ensure that every race is a great day of sport!
The Forest of Champions
Many athletes from all over the world have already run in the Cansiglio forest. The 2021 World Cup was won by Tove Alexandersson and Kasper Harlem Fosser. Take the opportunity to follow in their footsteps by participating in the Cansiglio Orienteering Meeting.
